How To Get Thicker, Natural Looking Brows

Big brows are the one, thanks to Cara Delevigne, there seems to be a new brow product on the beauty shelves every week that aims to give you that volumised, but natural look. I've certainly toned mine down in the past few months, which I think you can tell by comparing my 2012 outfit post to present day. It's all about defining the volume of your brows rather than drawing on two thick and really defined lines (bye, Scouse brow!)

We can always rely on Benefit Cosmetics to offer something different to the market, something that is effective and easy to use. Newly launched, Gimme Brow is a brow-volumizing fiber gel that adheres to skin and hair to make them look thicker. It is available in two shades (light/medium and medium/dark) so you won't have to ponder too long about which shade would suit you best. I dislike that part the most, I hate getting it wrong and then having the product go to waste. For me, the medium/dark is just right and it blends in well. It comes in a mascara-style wand in which you apply over your brows. It will darken not only your hairs but also lightly stain your skin. It's a manageable process, so don't let the word "stain" put you off! The wand allows you to brush the gel formula over your eyebrows, covering every single hair whilst tidying and shaping them at the same time. It goes on quite lightly so it lets you build the volume as desired. One layer isn't enough for me, so I have been applying two layers of Gimme Brow for a fuller look, and then define with with a brow pencil. It is easier and quicker than using my eyebrow kit and it can cut the hassle of getting them to look even. It's also waterproof, so you can wear this with ease that it won't come off in the rain or through sweating.

Benefit Cosmetics have teamed up with the charity Look Good Feel Better to raise money to help women with cancer. You can pop in to Debenhams, make a beeline for the Benefit Cosmetics counter and get one of their lovely team to wax and shape your eyebrows for a suggested donation of £5.00 - all proceeds go to Look Good Feel Better. You will get to experience Gimme Brow, and I think you're going to be impressed and amazed by this! I know it is expensive and you only get a tiny 3.0g wand but the best thing about brands like this is that there are people on hand to let you have a go at the products and give you advice on how to use them properly before you decide on purchasing, they are all eager to show you how effective the products are. Speaking from experience, eyebrow products can be quite daunting, and using them is even scarier! If you are looking to buy your first brow product, I'd recommend this Gimme Brow (it will be the only brow product you'll need!) due to how easy it is to use and how natural the results are.

  2. I'm in two minds whether to try this or not. On the one hand I have pretty good brows naturally but then I have mild trichotillomania which can leave me with half an eyebrow when I'm stressed out! Seems like it would be a good product to have on hand for those occasions :)

  5. I really really want to try some Benefit products but somehow I just can't commit to it when I see the price. 24€ for a mascara, that's a little crazy to me. These Gimme Brow look amazing, the Brow mascara that I use is from Maybelline and I cost me 10€. I love it, to works so well, a good and cheaper dupe ! ;)

  7. I'm curious about this one. I usually don't really invest too much on my brows but, I really need to do it.
The applicator on this one sounds better than the one I have from Catrice.

Take care, have a nice day!*

  14. I haven't tried this one from Benefit before but similar brow mascaras from other brands which I really love. It's easy and fast to use so a lot more convenient! I agree that Benefit products and their service are really great so I will try this one as well :) Thanks for the review!
