Shirt* Laura Ashley / Bag* Laura Ashley / Skirt Topshop / Coat Miss Selfridge / Shoes Office / Belt Primark
I had a meeting a couple of days ago and this is what I wore, and at the end of the day, we went to visit Bonnie, and caught the afternoon sun - our favourite time to shoot. To be honest with you, by this time of the day, my make up has faded and the only thing on my mind is getting changed in to my comfortable pyjamas, which is precisely what I did ten minutes after taking these photographs!
Out of the three ways I've worn this white shirt from Laura Ashley, this look is one that has a Laura Ashley signature style... I think it's the beige trench coat that gives it the classic look, it ties the whole outfit so well. Although this outfit looks smart, there's nothing to it and minimal efforts were made as it's basically a simple black skirt (staple item!, a basic shirt and a pair of heels. It isn't an outfit I'd wear to meet friends or go shopping, but for anything like a meeting or interview, I think something like this looks smart, comfortable and (hopefully) stylish! The shirt has enough colour to wear with a black skirt without looking like a waitress! At some point in the next few days, I'll do a quick round up of the three ways I've worn this shirt - it will make it easier to see it all in one single post.
